Today we went to the South Camden Learning Centre and made a web based news program. It was based on International news, national news, entertainment, sports, politics and the weather. We each chose randomly what we would do for our report I got weather and local news. I was also the anchor man which means I introduce the other news readers. When I actually did it, was very hard and nerve racking and scary by its good knowing it’s done.

We went to CLC to do a report on different categories, like Local News, International News, and others, I got Entertainment, So I decided to write about the Oscars and Britney Spears’ bald head. Going to CLC meant no school, so I definitely accepted. It’s going to be put on the BBC website. We had an introduction with Nick and Tim, then we started looking for headlines and typing it out on Word.
We had a break and ate biscuits and drank juice. Then played Mission Maker, a weird game on the computer. After that it was back to writing our scripts, finalizing them and searching for pictures for the backdrop. Then we had lunch and played Mission Maker AGAIN. They set up everything we needed to start filming, recording and stuff like that then we met this lady called Gillian and she gave us free memory sticks! So we wrote our blogs, about what we did during this day, I’m writing it right now. The best thing about today is that we didn’t have school.

We visited the Camden city learning centre to participate in the BBC school news report. It was great. I really enjoyed researching and writing article but I found the speaking really nerve racking. I was presenting national news but we also did international, entertainment, weather, sport and political. The articles sound really good and the background looked really professional. All in all it was great fun and there was a chance I would definitely do it again.

We travailed to CLC to create a news report for the BBC on lots of different categorize like: Local news, International news, Sports, National news, Weather and entertainment. We randomly decided what we would write a report on. I got Sports so I researched on the BBC website what sport events happened lately. My two main stories were Chelsea winning the Carling cup and England loosing against Ireland in the rugby. We had a quick break then back to work.
We typed up are speeches until lunch then we ate and played on a program called mission maker. After lunch they filmed us and we wrote our blogs. All in all the day has been a great learning experience.

We arrived at the CLC today for the BBC new day. We began with a short introduction which began our search for the stories that are out there. We were then randomly assigned areas to write about. We wrote down headlines and chose the most important ones. We started to get info from the internet and then went on to write our script. After that we got pictures for our background. Then we stood in front of a green screen and read out our scripts. The last step was arranging the show and editing in the pictures.
The most fun thing we did today was filming ourselves in front of the green screen.
My two headlines were:
1000 troops to be sent to Afghanistan
US anti ballistic missiles to be put on UK soil
By the end we all got sent out to make these BLOGS.

Today, we had no school because a group of us had been selected to go to the CLC to make a BBC Newsday thing. Its going to be put on the BBC website when its done.
When we got there, there was a door with a closed sign so we werenÃt sure if it was right. We pressed the door button and the lady at reception let us in. We went upstairs and met Nick. We chose our jobs randomly. I got the job of International Reporter.
He let us look for our stories on the internet and through newspapers. The 3 stories I finally decided on were:
US plans to bomb Iran
The Hunt for the lost Indonesian ferry
And the worlds most expensive pizza
We had a break and had juice and biscuits. We went back and did research on each of our stories. Then we had lunch and mucked around on the computers. We played Mission Maker and went on the internet.
When we were all finished Beau started recording and we got sent out, to make these blogs.
